Algeria 4-2 South Korea Group F

Algeria gave some hope into qualifying for the knockout stages of the World Cup by beating South Korea 4-2 in this exciting game.


The game had been a slow start again but after 25 minutes Algeria finally got their breakthrough.Islam Slimani scored the goal as he went through and chipped the goalkeeper from close range.

 

Algeria then scored to two more goals within 12 minutes as Rafik Halliche and Abdelmoumene Djabou got on the scoresheet to make it a massive up hill task for South Korea.


A comeback had looked on to South Korea as they scored within five minutes of the restart with Heung Min Son scoring his first World Cup goal.


Algeria and then destroy all hope of comeback by adding a fourth and final goal. This time Yasine Brahimi have been on the end of a great passing move before he rolled the ball through the goalkeeper's legs.


South Korea did an consolation towards the end but it was not good enough to get them back in the game.
