The former Tottenham hotspur midfielder had played the ball to Bruce at the back post as he out jumped Patrice Evra and dropped the ball into James Chester who was unmarked as the tigers fans began to rise out of their seats in hope. Chester had fired a volley straight past David De Gea as the ball rifled into the top of the goal. The KC stadium had erupted as the tigers get off to a quick start, James Chester with his first ever premier league goal.
12 minutes had past when Sagbo had passed the ball into Livermore just inside the United box. Livermore had set the ball up for David Meyler as his shot had hit Johnny Evans and come back to Meyler as the Hull City fans try and recover from the first goal. Meyler had shot again and this time it had come off Evans and gone into the net. Unbelievable as Hull doubled their lead and the fans happiness.
6 minutes later when substitute Adnan Januzaj was fouled on the right hand side and the free kick was given which striker Wayne Rooney woukd take. Rooney had crossed into Smallings head as United fans look for some sort of hope and they had a bit of luck as Smallings header had gone into the bottom left hand corner of the goal. United fans celebrate and urge their team forward to get back I the match. That was Rooneys ninth league assist this season.
26 minutes had past as Evans clipped a ball over the top for Rooney as his bad touch had set the ball up for Danny Welbeck as the United fans keep voices in high spirit. Welbeck gave the ball back to the striker Rooney, the Englishman took a touch and then thundered a shot into the left hand side of the goal a fantastic goal from the striker. Manchester United will need to kick on now and win the match as Rooney looks very influentialin the attacking part for United.
Hull City will need to stay strong and stay in the game but bad news as the tigers are forced to make a change as McGregor is replaced by Steve Harper in goal.
7 minutes after the restart when Danny Graham had been given the ball with his back to goal. The pressure had been on United as Graham had turned and given the ball to Sagbo on the right hand side as he had shot a curling effort straight at Spanish keeper De Gea as the goalkkeper punched the ball away from his own goal.
62 minutes into the match as Tom Huddlestone had crossed the ball from the right hand side. the crosd had found Alex Bruce watching the ball closely as his header had come crashing off the bar,no chance for De Gea as the woodwork saves Man United from a tougher task.
4 minutes later when Rooney had given the ball to Welbeck in the middle. The striker had given the ball out wide on the right hand side as the Hull City defender had mistimed his tackle leaving loads of space for Ashley Young. The Manchester United fans had rose out of their seats in hope that the ball would go in. Youngs deliver had found James Chester at the front post to head into his own net . United fans go crazy as James Chester scores one for his former club and one for his current club.
Into injury time when Antonio Valencia kicked the ball away already beibg on a yellow card he gave referee mike oliver no chioce but to send Valencia down the tunnel and off the pitch. Not even a look from manager David Moyes.
At full time as Manchester United get the three points after an early scare from the tigers. Early goals from former United player James Chester and Johnny Evans (own goal). United hit back through Smalling, Rooney with his 150th league goal for the Red Devils and then a winner from Chester with the own goal.
Manchester United were lucky to get a win as Hull pressured very well towards the end but Valencia being sent off could be costly in the next couple of games.
Hull City were fantastic and did deserve more out of the game but luck went Man United way as chances will need to be taken by the tigers.
