Little pea knocks out big rivals

After the humiliating defeat to Manchester City,Man United will be looking to bounce straight back in the carling cup against other rivals Liverpool. Man United make 8 changes as Shinji Kagawa,Javier Hernandez, Ryan Giggs, Phil Jones and Luis Nani all start as Wayne Rooney captain's the United side. Robin Van Persie has a groin injury also Marouane Fellaini is cup tied. Liverpool have only made 2 changes but the one big change is Luis Suarez who plays in his first game since being banned for biting. Suarez starts up front with Daniel Sturridge as Liverpool name a strong side. 

9 minutes into the match when Roomey had touched the ball down in the middle of the pitch. Rooney had been under pressure as he had flicked the ball just behind him into the Portuguese winger Nani. Man United's number 17 had played a ball out wide to Japanese star Kagawa as he advanced into the box. Kagawa had shot but his shot had been easily saved by Simon Mignolet as it was straight at him.

20 minutes had past when a great one two from Suarez and Sturridge had opened Man United up. Sturridge had been bearing down on goal with Johnny Evans closing him down. The English striker had not been composed as his shot went wide of David De Geas right hand post.
Coming into the end of the first half when Man United had broke away from a Liverpool free kick. Ryan Giggs had found space on the edge of the box from the counter attack as the 39 year old Welshman had shot at the Liverpool goal. The shot had been blocked by new Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho as United try to get back in the game.

At half time and the first half has been very end to end with no end product. Manchester United had a good spell in the first 20 minutes as Liverpool came back. Luis Suarez has been very quiet and not made an impact as United captain Wayne Rooney will look to push his team in the second half. 
Not even one minute into the second half when Nani had won a corner for Manchester United. The stadium had began to take their seats as Rooney had stepped up to take the corner. The ball had been whipped in near the front post as the little Mexcian Javier Hernandez had lost his Man Jose Enquire. Hernandez had opened up his body near the front post and turned the ball into the net past Mignolet as the United faithful went estatic. David Moyes hadn't even taken his seat as Hernandez scored his first goal of the season.

53 minutes into this cup tie when Sturridge had back heeled the ball into the box. Johnny Evans had held the ball in the box but Victor Moses had won it back as the ball had rolled to Jordan Henderson. The £20m signing from Sunderland in 2011 had not kept his composer as the ball went an inch wide of the right hand post. A scare for United as Liverpool show United fans the game is not won yet.

10 minutes later when United had threatened again. This time Kagawa had been given the ball by Nani as Kagawa turned away from the defender and had began to advance near closer to the edge of the box. The £12m man had looked for an opening as his shot had skimmed the bar beating Liverpool keeper Mignolet but not the woodwork.

20 minutes had been left when a dangerous cross had been headed away by Chris Smalling but the ball had only gone to Enrquie at the back post. Enrique had crossed the ball into Moses as he had headed the ball straight at De Gea. 1 minute later and Liverpool had won a free kick and Luis Suarez had stepped over the ball. The controversial striker had hit the bar from the corner as United fans cheered.

5 minutes later as Man United had won a free kick on the edge of the box. Rooney had been over the ball as the United fans chanted Rooney's name but the free kick had been pushed away by Mignolet for a corner. Rooney took the corner and it had been short to Nani. The Portugese player had given the ball back to Rooney as his shot had fizzled near Mignolet's goal as he had pushed it away.

At full time and Manchester United go through to the 4th round as Liverpool are knocked out. Hernandez with the one goal a good way to find space and finish. Liverpool threatened but United kept strong and won in style. Man United play West Brom on Saturday 3pm kick off
