Causing a Sturr at Anfield

Manchester United versus Liverpool a true classic but this time with an edge Moyes versus Rodgers here we go. A moment of applause for former Liverpool manager Bill Shankly who's anniversary is tomorrow. Liverpool have Martin Skrtel back in the squad after Kolo Toure suffered a groin injury, Daniel Sturridge also plays up front as Liverpool look towards him for goals. Manchester United have no Wayne Rooney after a head injury caused in training Ashley Young also starts as Luis Nani is on the bench also Ryan Giggs plays in his 57th game against Liverpool.

3 minutes into te match when the atmosphere at Anfield was outstanding. Liverpool had won a corner which Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard had whipped into the box. Liverpool fans just about taking their seats as Daniel Agger had headed the ball towards goal and the ball had been close to goal but in form striker Daniel Sturridge headed just over the United defender on the line and into the United net. 

6 minutes had past when Manchester United had won a free kick which the Welsh wizard Ryan Giggs would take. Giggs had crossed a ball into the back post were the French left Patrice Evra had been to hear into the middle of the area. The ball had bounced up for deadly Dutchman Robin Van Persie as he had tried a fancy over head kick as new Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet watched the ball go over the top of the Scouse bar.

26 minutes in as Glen Johnson had won a free- kick in a position which had fancied Kop legend Gerrard. The Liverpool number 8 had looked confident as he had shot the ball over the Manchester United four man wall but it had been claimed by the Spaniard David De Gea low at his left post.

At half time and Man United go into the break losing 1-0 as Daniel Sturridge's header had gone into the back of the net. Man United have been lacklustre but Liverpool have not been to great aswell. Manchester United have been poor and will need to play better in the second 45. 

5 minutes after the restart when Ryan Giggs had crossed a ball in from the corner. The ball had been headed up by Liverpool captain Gerrard as they had looked to clear but the ball had rolled onto the edge of the box. Where injury prone Ashley Young had been to volley the ball. United fans behind the goal had hoped as Johnson moved his leg slightly to hit the ball out for a corner. The ball had looked to have been going in.

Half way through the second half when Nani had won a corner which the Portuguese winger had to take after just coming on. Nani would take the corner and had hit the ball into the front post were veteran Giggs was but had only been caught by Mignolet very easily.

75 minutes in when Nani had the ball just I front of the Liverpool defence as Rahemm Sterling had been on his tail. Nani had got the ball through Sterlings legs and had lined up to shoot. Nani had let his shot fly through Gerrard's legs as former Sunderland no.1 Simon Mignolet had jumped to parry the ball away from the right hand side of the goal.

4 minutes left when a touch from Nani on the right hand side had opened up space for substitute Javier Hernandez. The Mexican had seen the run of Van Persie. The Dutchman had missed the chance as the ball had gone just short of the front post. As Liverpool still lead. 

At full time as Manchester United lose away at Anfield. Sturridge scored in the 4th minute winner settles it as United are in 6th. Liverpool played well as United were very sloppy throughout the game. United's midfield was weak all through the game can they strength their team before tomorrow's 11pm deadline. United's next game is Crystal Palace on the 14th.
