Manchester United 4-0 QPR- BPL game 4
Manchester United for once in two seasons reeled back the belief that Old Trafford could yet be a fortress again.
A dominate and demolishing performance over a defensive minded QPR.
Four goals were thumped past the unable Robert Green today as United four different scorers pounded the ball past him.
Speed and killer instincts were all on display as an attacking Manchester United took QPR a part one step at a time.
With cheers and emotion flooded through Old Trafford as the crowd voiced a new belief/era in the team.
The first goal came in the first 30minutes when new signing on his Old Trafford debut Angel Di Maria curled a luscious free kick into the right hand side of the goal.
30 yards out the Argentine had been to score his first goal which ended up kick starting the game although their was a debate whether it was a cross or shot.
The second was added when Di Maria yet again provided his bursting pace to work the ball from one end of the pitch to another.
Di Maria then rolled in Rooney but when Wayne's shot was deflected he set up Ander Herrera on the edge of the box. A swift cleanly hit shot into the bottom right hand corner.
United were crushing and cruising QPR as the tempo was quick, deadly and frightening to watch if to you were a Queens Park Rangers fan.
The third was added before half time when Wayne Rooney scored his third of the season putting the ball in the same place in which Di Maria and Herrera scored.
The United captain was leading by example as he influenced and played a key part in the game. Rooney had now scored 175 Premier League goals, putting him in joint-third place with Thierry Henry.
The fourth and final was the incentive second half goal which completed the rout as Angel Di Maria's low cross/shot was found in the path of Juan Mata.
The Spaniard casually placed the ball into the net to intern himself to his 9th Premier League goal in 11 matches.
In the 70th minute Manchester United got a glimspe at new signing Radamel Falcao as he came on to make a 20 minute cameo apperance. He did come close but didn't have enough time to grow into the match!

On Angel Di Maria: "Did he play well? When you help create three goals and score the first, then you cannot play badly!"
Man of the match could have been contested between two players both new signings which were Angel Di Maria and Daley Blind.
Daley Blind was cool and collective as he completed 107 passes of the 112 he attempted a 95% pass completion which was pleasing. He showed no panic and was an absolute fantastic protector of the back four.
However Angel Di Maria was superb a constant threat who drifted for left to right throughout his time on the pitch. The goal and an assist to Juan Mata's goal as well as having some part in everything single goal he was the ultimate top performer today.
