MK Dons 4-0 Manchester United- CC 2nd round
It's a case of where do I start with this defeat it but prior to kick off MK Dons were 17/2 to win the match let alone win it by four goals.
It concluded to the belief that the Dons had more determination. Capitalised on every single mistake Manchester United made and from four of then they scored.
Sloppiness was a leading role throughout and not just by one player but it was a constant theme under every United players performance.
It's hard to compile a list of things that went right however James Wilson and Adnan Januzaj were the only few who may have escaped with average performances.
To have one shot on target until the 70th minute and expecting to be in with a chance of winning the game at 3-0 down. It's truly disappointing to the many watching and the many at the stadium.
The formation is not showing any good signs as their is no stability and it simply allows any team to tear us a part.
The first goal came after just 13 minutes after a Johnny Evans mistake gave Will Griggs his dream goal against Manchester United in front of a home crowd.
The players remained on different wavelengths until the first half and then had 15 minute interval. Then for the last 45 minutes carried on making careless and countless wrong decisions.
The second and third were added with Griggs getting his second shortly after being replaced then Arsenal loanee Benik Afobe scored his first.
It then got worse towards the end of the match in fact in the last 10 minutes when a....mistake caught United out. Leaving the strong and powerful Afobe to bulldoze past three defenders and send the defeat into a crashing embarrassing.
Louis Van Gaal said:
"We didn't have the luck to score but at least we have created a lot of chances"
"I have seen them trying to their utmost best. You can't expect more of the players."
"I hope the fans maintain their confidence in the club and in our philosophy because that philosophy takes time."
Man of the match was hard it it was 1,000,000% not a Manchester United player. The star man was Ben Reeves his tireless work ethics along with his providing skills as he claimed two great assists.
