Man United make seven changes as Wayne Rooney is suspended which allows Robin Van Persie and Javier Hernandez back into the side. Adnan Januzaj and Luis Nani start on either wing.

Newcastle make just one change to the side that lost to Swansea in mid week as Vurnon Anita replacing Shola Ameobi.

8 minutes into the match when Hernandez had laid the ball off to Januzaj on the right hand side. The 18 year old had spotted the run of Phil Jones through the middle and the youngster gave it to him. Jones had space and time as his shot was saved easily at the left hand post by premier league player of the month Tim Krul.
 

17 minutes had past in the match as Moussa Sissoko had the ball on the right. The Frenchman had done well to get away from his man as he had crossed the ball into the front post. Loic Remy had been at the front post as his header had gone just wide of the right hand post.
 

One minute until half time when Remy had been just in front of the Man United defence. The French striker had been allowed to turn and thread a ball past Rafael on the right as Debuchy had been behind him. The defender had shot at the near post as David De Gea parried with his strong hands.
 

At Halftime and it is goalless as chances have been few and far between.
 

Manchester United have had less possession and have been very lacklustre going forward and will need to step up their game for the next 45 minutes.
 

Newcastle have had more of the ball but not any real chances and will what to score early in the second half.
 

6 minutes after the restart when Robin Van Persie had the ball very deep and had looked up to clip a ball over an through to Hernandez on the right as he drilled a shot straight at Krul.
 

3 minutes later as Man United had a corner on the left which Luis Nani would take and he had whipped it into a good area. Evra had climbed highest again to header the ball but it had taken a deflection and hit the post as the magpies survive a early second half scare.
 

60 minutes into the match when a long ball had been headed the wrong way by Evra as Sissoko had run in behind. The Toon army jumping hoping as their team go forward with excitement. Sissoko had pulled the ball back to just inside the box where Yohan Cabaye had been to slot the ball into the left hand side and send the travelling fans crazy as Man United look to lose for a second home since May 2002.
 

73 minutes had past when Januzaj had picked up the ball on the left and along the edge of the box. The youngster had been by two defenders as he skipped past both of them and then rolled the ball out to substitute Wilfred Zaha as he had looked to curl a shot into the right had corner. The shot had gone just wide of the goal as United are still 1-0 down. 
 

At full time and it finishes with United fans asking what is going on with this team. United were poor and lacked away creativity as near to the end everyone had left another poor performance. 
 

Man United are going to seriously now need to pick it up as Moyes walks away with his head in shame. 
 

Newcastle United played well and took their chances and won at United the for the first time since 1972. Cabaye and his midfielder crowded United out and showed why they deserved to win.
