No Swan in the Sea for United
Manchester were looking for a win to open the gap to 6 points at christmas United have won 10 out of there last 11 matches. The big Serbian returns as Vidic is put back into the centre of the defence. Vidic would walk out of the tunnel with the famous Manchester United armband. The Dutch keep Micheal Vorm is put in between the sticks for the first time in a while.
15 minutes in when Micheal Carrick played a lovely pass through to Young. As he's first time shot had been just pushed away from Vorm. United fans chanting louder as Van Persie had whipped the ball in the French left back Patrice Evra. Heading the ball onto the post and rolling into the net. Leon Britton had been to blame as he drifted away from the post at the wrong moment. Manchester United have never lost from a winning position this season. United fans echoing around the ground letting the Welsh Club the score.
29 minutes had past when a quick sharp pass to John De Guzman opened Man Utd up. Swansea fans rised up out of there seats but as David De Gea could only push the ball out to three players and one of them Michu Swansea fans filled with hope as Man Utd fans hold there hands in there head as the ball had been tapped into an empty net. The Swansea fans chanting the Welsh anthem as Michu surpasses Van Persie in goals this season.
Coming into the end of the first half as Jonny Evans played the ball into Evra as he had sprinted past De Guzman. Rooney had been shouting for the ball and so were the United fans telling the Frenchman that he had to pass and he had. As Rooney miss hit he's shot as it had rolled into the arms of Vorm. United fans having a go at Rooney for his weak effort.
At half time and the game had been quiet open but Man Utd had dominated for a good 30 minutes of the match. Man Utd have scored more goals from set-pieces than any other team this season and proved that when Evra headed into the net but 15 minutes when Chico fouled Van Persie as it
hadn't been given United's way as 22 seconds after that Michu finished a easy tap in.
66 minutes had gone in the match as Evra took a quick throw in deep in the Swansea half as the ball was thrown to Rooney. As the United fans hoped they wouldn't see there team go away with there first draw of the season. The ball had come onto an onrushing Robin Van Persie as the ball hit his foot and the elbow as it had rebounded off of the crossbar. Sir Alex Ferguson had being to get very frustrated on the touchline.
78 minutes into the match. As Rooney's free-kick had gone out for a corner. Van Persie was to take in front of his away supporters. As Michael Carrick glanced his header against the bar but it had been going in as the keeper tipped it onto the frame of the goal.
At full time and Manchester United get there first draw of the season but United had dominated the whole game as te red devils go top of the table for christmas. The last three season the team winning at christmas has gone onto win the title as the last team to not win the title when top at christmas was Man Utd themselves in 1997.
