Manchester United have scored an average of three goals in every single match played again Olympiacos. Olympiacos have won six of their last eight home games in the Champions League and have never failed to score in those eight games.

Manchester United make three changes from the side that beat Crystal Palace as Juan Mata is dropped because he is ineligible giving Ashely Young a chance. Tom Cleverley comes in to replace Maraoune Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj is not included in the staring line up or the as Antonio Valencia replaces him.

Olympiacos make a massive six changes to the side that thrashed OFI Crete at the weekend as only goalkeeper Roberto, Leandro Salino,Konstantinos Manolas, Jose Holebas and on loan Arsenal striker Joel Campbell keep their place.

Olympiacos XI: Roberto; Salino, Manolas, Marcano, Holebas; Maniatis, N'Dinga; Campbell, Domínguez, Peréz; Olaitan

8 minutes into the match when Chris Smalling had lost possession on the left hand side as Domìnguez had the ball and glided into the box in challenge as they had been a Man open on Domìnguez right hand side as he took another step closer to the defence. The winger had took a touch to many as Nemanja Vidic jumped across to make a fantastic challenge keeping United at 0-0.

37 minutes had past when Olympacios captain Giannis Maniatis had shot at goal from just outside the box. The shot had been heading wide of the right hand post but Alejandro Domínguez had diverted the shot off fits original path and beyond a helpless David De Gea who could not scramble across quick enough to stop it from going into the back of the net. The Manchester United fans are not surprised or stunned as a lacklustre performance reflects on the score line.

At half time and the game has had any real excitement but the Domìnguez goal near the stroke of half time puts the Greek champions ahead.

Manchester United have been extremely poor and lack any real emphasis on the game and very much deserve to be one goal down.

Olympacios have been made to look better than they actually are but have been the better team and do deserve to be ahead in this first leg tie.

54 minutes into the game as Joel Campbell had been given the ball on the right hand side as the Greek fans are still buzzing after going one goal up as Campbell had nut megged Michael Carrick and set himself up for a shot as he had curled the ball into the left hand corner of the goal beating David De Gea and doubling the lead and the joy of the home fans as they go crazy all around the stadium.

12 minutes later when Campbell cross had found Olatian who had taken his time on the right hand side and then unleashing a shot which had gone just wide of the top right hand comer as Olympacios are still looking the better side.

9 minutes left when Chris Smalling had crossed into the box from the right hand side with clear running space. Smalling's cross had found Robin Van Persie who had a great first touch and then got past the defender. It had looked a golden chance as Van Persie had got the ball on his left foot by had smashed the ball over the cross bar.

Full time and Olympacios get a good result here as Manchester United are left in turmoil with a second leg to come.

Manchester United were poor for 85 minutes of the game no player turned up and didn't deserve any goals today.

Olympacios were great in closing down and played normally it seemed but Man United made them look like a world class team when they are not but take nothin away from the Greek Champions.

Next up for Manchester United is an away trip to West Brom on March 8th which gives the team time to regroup.
