Strikers sink Swans at sea

The opening day of the season with a twist as Manchester United begin this new campaign without the successful manager Sir Alex Ferguson. David Moyes has placed Wayne Rooney on the bench as he looks as if he may stay a Man United player. Robin Van Persie starts upfront as Wilfried Zaha drops to the bench. Swansea have new £12.5 m Wilfried Bony on the sub bench as Michu starts as striker. Swansea also have new midfielder Jonjo Shelvey in the starting 11. 
 

18 minutes into the match when Rio Ferdinand played the ball into Antonio Valencia as he looked up and had saw Danny Welbeck on the edge of the box as he's shot had been aiming for the bottom left hand corner as it was pushed out by Michael Vorm but only to Welshman Ryan Giggs as his shot had gone well wide of the goal.
 

Half way through the first half as Nathan Dyer had crossed in a bad ball as it had hit Phil Jones head but the attack hadn't been finished yet. Then header had not gone far as Michu had used his skill to touch the ball past Patrice Evra and then turn and poked a shot at David De Gea which had been considerable saved at De Gea left hand post.
 

33 minutes into the match when Carrick and Giggs where sitting in front of the Swansea defence. Giggs had spotted the run of the leathly Robin Van Persie as he had chested the ball down leaving United fans jumping and hoping. The Dutchman had got his foot up high above the Swansea captain Ashley Williams and had finished past Vorm. An acrobatic finish from Van Persie gave United the lead. As Moyes and the United fans jumped out of their seats as Van Persie celebrated his third goal in usual style.
 

1 minute later when Evra's cross had hit a few body's and found Valencia at the back post as United looked dangerous. United fans excited as Valencia tapped the ball across for No.19 Danny Welbeck as the ball rolled into the back of the Swansea net. United's second goal in two minutes. That was Welbeck's first goal of the season as United fans echo around the liberty stadium.
 

At Half time as Manchester United go into half time 2 goals to the good. Moyes has been very animated on the touch line as two goals in two minutes set United on their way into the break. Another fantastic acrobatic goal from Van Persie and then a simple tap in for Danny Welbeck. 
 

5 minutes after the restart when Michu had found space 25 yards out he had looked for glory with a shot that had been aiming for the left hand corner as De Gea had pounced on the ball and clawed onto the ball.
 

60 minutes had past when a header from Valencia had set Van Persie away and running in on goal. Van Persie had looked to outwit Vorm as he was on the left hand side as he's shot had gone a wide of the Swansea goal. Van Persie looking for his fourth goal as the season as Wayne Rooney had made his way onto the pitch for Ryan Giggs. 
 

20 minutes left when Man United had won a corner as the Flying Dutchman looked to whip a ball into the box but to most surprise Van Persie had found one of the smallest players in Evra as he had headed the ball into the bottom left corner as Canas Swansea's new signing had come to the recuse clearing the ball off the line.
 

3 minutes later when United had counter attack Rooney, Van Persie and Welbeck. Van Persie had the ball as United fans sung in loud numbers. Rooney had made an overlap but the Dutchman had shifted the ball to the right and got past the defender on the edge of the box and fired a shot into the top left corner a fantastic finish as United look safe for the three points. Van Persie has started where he has left off a great striker proving himself. Van Persie has now doubled his total for the season with 4 goals.
 

9 minutes left when Welbeck had messed around with the ball just outside the Manchester United box. Swansea fans quiet as a good interchange gave new Swansea signing Bony a chance to shoot at goal. Bony had made no mistake as e had kept his cool and finished the ball into the bottom right hand corner leaving the Spaniard David De Gea no chance as the Swansea fans leap out of their seats as their new £12.5m signing scored his first goal.
 

Into injury time when Valencia had seen Rooney 20 yards from goal as the game began to quiet down. Rooney had picked up the ball and looked for Danny Welbeck as Rooney slipped in Welbeck. United fans got out of their seat as Welbeck had tried to chip the keeper as United fans waited anxiously to see where the ball would drop as he had looped down into the bottom right hand corner another fantastic goal from United. The United faithful celebrate in joy as they have shown doubters why you can not write them off yet. Welbeck has now scored his second goal this season.
 

At full time as David Moyes and Man United get their first win and it was a convincing one at that two fantastic goals from Van Persie one acrobatic and the another a complete power strike into the top corner also Welbeck scored a brace his chip being something to remember for him. Bony scored one for Swansea which will be a positive for the Welsh side to take out of the game. Next up for United is Chelsea at home on Monday week.
