Manchester United make three changes from the side that beat Aston Villa 0-3. Chris Smalling,Anderson and Ashley Young are the only three changes made from manager David Moyes.

Stoke City make four changes from the team that drew to Hull City on Saturday as Erik Pieters comes into the side. Also Steven N'Zonzi is replaced in centre midfield for Steven Ireland.

3 minutes into the match when Anderson had threaded a ball through to Danny Welbeck with Young on the left Han side. The star Man at Villa Park had passed to Young as he's shot had hit the side netting and gone wide. The Man United fans down the opposite had been celebrating a goal but hadn't realised that the ball had in fact gone wide.
28 minutes had past when the referee pulled the players off the pitch because of the terrible hail stones effecting the players and Mark Clattenburg's vision we shall return soon hopefully.
Into injury time of the first half when Anderson had conceded a free kick 25 yards from goal. Glen Wheelan would take but his shot had gone just over the right hand side of the bar.
At half time and it is a boring 0-0 score line at the Britannia with the only real excitement being the short delay because of torrential rain.
Manchester United are lacking real quality as midfield may need to improve. Moyes may look to Hernandez or Zaha on the bench to encourage a performance.
Stoke City have had a little to shout about as attacking wide they're chances have been limited. Stoke will need to get ahead in the second half.
60 minutes into the match as Ashely Young's corner from the left had gone to Welbeck at the back post. The Englishman's header had gone wide of the right hand post as the score stays 0-0.
One minute later when Ashley Young in the middle had played the ball into substitute Javier Hernandez. The Mexican had laid the ball off again to Young as United fans behind the goal needed something to shot about. Young had crashed the ball a little to the left as it had rocketed into the net leaving goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.
12 minutes left when the ball out wide had found Patrice Evra on the left. Man United fans behind the goal in full voice as the Frenchman had found space just inside the box and had chose to shoot. The shot had curled into the right hand corner a fantastic goal as United fans erupt behind the goal. Evra's second league goal this season.
At full time and Manchester United are through to the semi finals great goals from Ashley Young and Patrice Evra send United to the last four.
Manchester United settled down in the second half and substitute Javier Hernandez changed the game for United. A great strong strike from Young and a right foot curler from Evra.
Stoke City were swiped away by United and had tried to get back into the game after going down but couldn't.
Next up for Manchester United is a game against West Ham United at 3pm on Saturday.
